How to choose
Key/key or key/thumbturn. A key/key cylinder opens with a key from both sides. A key/thumbturn cylinder locks from the inside with a turn of the knob, no key needed. That suits a bedroom or study: the key can’t get lost inside the room.
Size. A marking like 30/30 is the distance in millimetres from the fixing centre to each end of the cylinder (60 mm in total here). The length should match the door thickness including the escutcheons.
You will also need: a cylinder lock mechanism and a cylinder escutcheon in matt nickel.
Material: brass.
