Usually, when a solar pool cover is not in use, it is stored on reels or folded next to the pool, and under constant exposure to direct sunlight the bubbles break down and over time will "crumble" (the solar cover heats up above 80 °C).

This can be avoided by using a special cover featuring the proven CoolGuard ™ Ultra pool cover technology:

opaque light blue top surface that reflects solar heat;

black underside that prevents light from reaching the pool surface.

The reflective cover can be easily secured with various straps/elastic bands, available separately.

The cover is made of polyethylene (PE), which is a thermoplastic.
