Glass filter media for pool filters.

In filters used with private pools, a single layer of Biovitrum is usually sufficient. As the filter diameter increases, a two-layer fill can be considered.

In filters from 2,000 mm in diameter, three layers should be used for better filtration.

150 kg of sand is fully equivalent to 150 kg of Biovitrum. The volume is the same.

Biovitrum makes it possible to filter perfectly at higher speeds, with less filter contamination (plus savings on the number of filter backwashes required, i.e. water and energy savings), and it has no shelf life as such.

Biovitrum does not wear away, does not decrease and does not disappear. Therefore, once the filter is filled with Biovitrum, there is no need to replace it. The only thing we recommend is to check the filter bed height (the presence of Biovitrum in the filter) every 4-5 years; if over time, due to some factors, Biovitrum may have been washed out of the filter, then after 5 years a few bags can be topped up. Its properties remain unchanged over time.

Biovitrum is not crushed glass with an applied coating or activation. During the production of the grains, titanium is embedded throughout the entire structure of the material for self-cleaning and improved filtration properties.
